Extra financial support for primary producers impacted by Tropical Cyclone Jasper and the subsequent flooding event has become available. This is in addition to the loan support announced earlier this week.
The Extraordinary Recovery Grants have just been announced. These are grants of up to $75,000 to assist with short-term recovery needs including pasture rehabilitation, fodder, replacing livestock, and repairs to infrastructure and equipment. They will be administered through QRIDA. Please visit the QRIDA website for information on how to apply as it becomes available. You can also see below for more details on disaster assistance and eligible LGAs.
As you take care of your properties and your families, please also remember to look after your health and wellbeing. There are a range of support services available to help. We’ve compiled a selection of contacts and resources that may be applicable to your needs.
